On 12 October 2022, the Asia-Pacific Journal of International Humanitarian Law (APJIHL) launched its 2022 edition at the Manila Adventist College in Manila, Philippines.

Prof. Rommel Casis, UP Institute of International Legal Studies (UP IILS) Director and APJIHL Managing Editor, introduced the APJIHL to the audience by discussing the Journal’s history and identity, editorial policy, covered topics, as well as a brief background of the articles in the APJIHL 2022 Edition.

Ms. Georgia Hinds, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Legal Department Head and APJIHL Board Member, shared her insights on the relevance of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in the Asia-Pacific Region.

The APJIHL is a publication of the UP-IILS and the ICRC. The Journal seeks to produce peer-reviewed scholarly articles, book reviews, and commentary on significant developments and current issues in IHL and related fields with special focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

The APJIHL is also accepting manuscripts for the 2023 edition through the submission platform available at https://apjihl.org or through email at apjihl.upd@up.edu.ph. Interested authors may submit on or before 31 January 2023.
